Nokia E71 and E66 get free navigation

GLOBAL – You spoke, we listened: Free walk and drive navigation is now available for the Nokia E71 and Nokia E66. The latest version of Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation has been available on a range of devices such as the Nokia E72, Nokia N97 mini, and X6 since January. After listening to customer feedback though, the Ovi Maps team has created a version that works on Nokia E71 and Nokia E66.

People will be able to use Ovi Suite to side load the latest country maps onto their devices so they can enjoy offline map browsing alongside free navigation. The process of making the latest version of Ovi Maps available for existing devices is quite involved, but the team managed to include complete navigation functionality. Due to technical constraints in back porting the app to existing devices, unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to offer further premium content such as Guide Michelin and Lonely Planet guides. These two devices will also be the last of our S60 3.1 and older devices to sport this version of Ovi Maps. But every upcoming Nokia Smartphone will come with free walk and drive navigation out of the box.

These two Eseries devices join the recently compatible Nokia N86 8MP

The update is available now from Nokia.com/maps, and will also be available in Ovi Store.

Ovi Maps compatible devices include the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, Nokia E52, Nokia E55, Nokia E72, Nokia 5230, Nokia 6710 Navigator, Nokia 6730 classic, Nokia X6, Nokia N86 8MP and (with slightly different functionality) the Nokia E71, and Nokia E66

Nokia E71 and E66 free voice menu to get through Ovi Maps

LG Aloha shows his face

HTC Smart launch in India, bringing the BREW UI and Sense

With the smartphone competition heating up, there is a platform that has gone largely overlooked – BREW. Now the HTC Smart launch in India, which is one of the fastest growing markets for mobile phones.

الاعلان عن نوكيا N8-00 قد اقترب كثيرا حيث تم ذكره على سيرفر نوكيا

يبدو حقا ان موعد الاعلان عن هاتف نوكيا صاحب ال 12 ميجا بيكسل و المعروف حتى الان بإسم نوكيا N8-00 ، قد اقترب كثيرا، حيث انه منذ بضعه ايام فقط تسربت لنا اول الصور التى يتوقع ان تكون لهاتف نوكيا N8 – لم تصرح نوكيا بالاسم الرسمي للهاتف بعد – و بعدها بما لا يزيد عن يومين يقول احد المواقع انه وفقا لمصادر موثوق بها فإنه من المتوقع ان تعلن نوكيا عن الهاتف في شهر ابريل ، لتطرحه بعد ذلك ربما في اواخر العام الحالي.

اما اليوم فهناك اخبار اكثر تأكيدا بخصوص هاتف نوكيا N8-00 حيث ظهر اسم الهاتف على السيرفر الخاص بنوكيا، كما يظهر لكم في الصوره اعلاه، مما يعني الوجود الفعلي للهاتف بهذا الاسم لدى نوكيا، لم يتم ذكر الكثير في تلك الوثيقه التى ظهرت على سيرفر نوكيا، بخصوص مواصفات الهاتف سوى انه يأتي مع معالج ARM و تباين يصل الى 360×640 بيكسل، و ذلك اضافة الى المواصفات التى ذُكرت من قبل و التى يُتوقع ان تأتي مع هذا الهاتف.

في نفس الوقت لم تظهر اى صورة للهاتف على سيرفر نوكيا، أي انه ليس من المؤكد بعد حقيقة ان هذه الصور التى تظهر لكم في الاسفل هي بالفعل لنفس الهاتف نوكيا N8-00 ، على الرغم من وجود هاتف بالفعل يُدعى نوكيا N8.

علاوة على ذلك ايضا، يُذكر ان Eldar Murtazin قد تلقى من نوكيا جهاز يُعرف بإسم Vasco ، حيث قد يتوقع البعض ان يكون هو نفسه نوكيا N8 ، الا ان Eldar لم يقل اى تفاصيل او يشير الى علاقه تربط بين الهاتفين حتى الان.
